This tote bag was made using the last few metres of Fabric Freedom Red and Black Swirl abric from a much loved local sewing fabric shop that has now closed down. Rather than see this beautiful fabric disappear or sit unused, it was carefully turned into a small, limited collection of assorted handmade bags.
Each piece was thoughtfully planned to make the most of the remaining fabric, meaning no two bags are ever quite the same. This tote is part of that final run, created to celebrate both the quality of the fabric and the creativity that thrives in local, independent sewing communities.
Hand cut, lightly padded, and fully lined, this bag reflects a slower, more considered approach to making, preserving a little piece of local sewing history in a practical, everyday item.
Once these bags are gone, there will be no more made from this fabric.

A striking handmade tote bag designed to comfortably carry a laptop, books or everyday essentials. Made using 100% cotton fabric with a bold red and black spiral design, this bag is both practical and eye catching.
The bag is padded with approximately 2 cm of internal padding to help protect and insulate your computer or tablet. It is fully lined in black polyester faux silk dupion for a smooth, durable interior finish.
A secure top zip keeps contents safely enclosed, while the long black shoulder strap is detachable and adjustable, allowing the bag to be worn comfortably over the shoulder or across the body.
Generously sized and softly structured, this tote is ideal for daily use, study, travel or work, offering a unique handmade alternative to mass produced laptop bags.
