After a craft fair, I found myself with a few plain canvas bags left over. Rather than packing them away, my granddaughter and I decided to turn it into a little creative project together.
I had some simple stencils, so we used them to show just how easy it can be to create artwork, even for beginners. Using fabric pens, we worked slowly and carefully, talking, laughing, and watching the design come to life on the canvas. It became less about perfection and more about enjoying the process and building confidence through creativity.
Each bag was painted by hand, with small variations that make every piece unique. What started as leftover stock became something much more meaningful, a shared moment, a lesson in creativity, and a practical item given a new story.
