Glass beads can break or chip on sudden impact such as dropping onto a hard floor to give sharp edges that could injure the person. The chain and other components are silver plated and although hypoallergenic (nickel and zinc free) could potentially cause an allergic reaction.

11 of my own handmade glass beads have been used to create this substantial necklace; clear glass has turquoise glass pieces melted onto the bead which is hand shaped in the flame. The beads are fairly big and are all solid glass making this statement necklace a good, comfy weight. The central big bead is 24mm x 20mm, the next big ones either side are 23mm x 20mm and the outer big beads are 20mm x 19mm. The little spacer lampwork glass beads are between 13-10mm in diameter. All of these have been designed into a necklace along with stacked silver plated snowflake beads and silver lined seed beads.
The necklace with heavy duty chain and decorative toggle and bar clasp is 20 1/2" in length.

All my lampwork beads are digitally kiln annealed after shaping in the flame to give greater resilience and durability and once cooled I clean out the clay mandrel release thoroughly by hand reaming before I use them in my designs. The photos show the colour of the beads as accurately as possible being photographed under LED conditions, however, there could be slight variations in shade depending on your monitor. Remember that these are individually handcrafted so may have small imperfections or variations between each one, which makes each of my beads beautifully unique!
