Full description
Peg bag in pretty pale blue with a patchwork flower design on both the front and the back, made from hexagons in three different blue cotton fabrics. Fully lined in a very pale lilac cotton.
Size approx 9 x 14 inches, 23 x 35 cm
The patchwork is all handsewn but the lining and assembly of the bag has been done on a sewing machine.
The top of the bag is held rigid by two wooden kebab skewers with the sharp ends cut off, enclosed within the lining.
The bag features a variety of ways to hang it, for use and storage. There is a shoulder length strap in pink webbing. There is a small loop in white tape that can go on a hook or end of a rotary drier. There is also a brass hook that can hook directly on to a washing line.
The bag is slightly less than perfect in that the top of the bag is not quite lined up as well as I would like (top right corner in the photos) but it is still attractive and perfectly functionable. As a result I have priced it lower than the other peg bags in my shop, even though it is of a more complex design as it has patchwork on the back as well as the front.
