This is the first of my Inktober series that I have put to print. I had a few requests from various social media to release it as a lino print and I was more than happy to oblige.
The original Inktober prompt was 'Polar'

This A4, black and white, lino print is the perfect gift for the Antarctic Scientist, Cold Weather Enthusiast or friend/family member who could do with a touch of coolness in their life.
'A Waddle of Penguins', yes thats the correct collective term, looks perfect in your living room, hall, bedroom, kids room, conservatory, anywhere really.
Kids will absolutely love the penguin chicks and the warm huddle provided by the adult penguins will bring a sense of warmth to whichever room you decide to hang them in.
After being carefully hand carved using professional linoleum cutting tools, traditional oil based relief ink is then spread over the linoleum with a Japanese soft rubber brayer (roller). Japanese Awagami Washi Hosho Select paper, which is made from sustainable materials, is then placed on top of the linoleum before pressure is applied using a press to evenly distribute the ink.
Due to this process, some small variations may occur, which makes each print truly unique.
Once it is dry, it is packaged, ready to order.
The oil based ink, as well as the paper, have great archival properties and the ink sits so well on the paper.
All of my lino prints come with free signed for shipping.
NOTE: This print comes unframed, allowing you to choose the perfect frame to match your decor.
