Hi, so glad you are visiting my store! I am currently loading more listings everyday, so if you don't find what you are looking for today please come back to see my new items.

I love Egon Schiele's work. I had the opportunity to see some in real life in the Albertina Museum, Vienna. During that visit I bought a small book containing some of his works. I have studied many of these. To help me learn from this master, I have painted some of them in my own way, always trying to recreate the beauty and style of the original sketches made by Schiele.

Full description

Inspired by Egon Schiele's beautiful drawing of 'Moa'. I have painted this freehand using only a small reference picture. Different to Schiele's masterpiece, I began first with a charcoal sketch and then over painted in oil, using thick impasto oil for the dress with those rich colours. There is a lot of texture in the dresscoat which I have also extended further than the original. I've used a strong royal blue, which sits very well with the burnt orange, chocolate, lilac, orange and gold colours of the dress. Moa's dresscoat in real life must have been incredible.
