My 'All of Us' series began when I started painting people caught in the background of our holiday photos. People who weren't intended to be included, just being background. They are the extras on the set. I began painting them using only a small palette knife, with this oil paint applied straight from the tube. This made it difficult to add too much detail and also being on a white background little room for mistakes. I painted with thick oil wet on wet, finishing each figure in one sitting.

Full description
Painted in thick impasto oil paint, I've used only a palette knife focusing on the posture of the figure. This is part of my 'All of Us' series, where I paint real people, caught in the background of photographs just going about their daily lives.
