Candle tins can get very hot and may damage surfaces. - Keep candles out of reach of children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials all pose a fire risk. - Never leave burning candles unattended. Fires can start quickly; staying nearby keeps you and your home safe. - Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time. Long burns can overheat the wick, cause soot build-up, and lead to “mushrooming.” First Burn & Candle Care - Let the wax pool. Allow the entire top layer to melt into a liquid pool for the best burn. - "Mushrooming". Carbon build-up on the wick can cause smoke, soot, and a hot, uneven flame. Keeping the wick trimmed and following burn times helps prevent this. - Burn until the wax reaches the edges. This gives the boldest fragrance, promotes an even burn, and prevents tunnelling. - Trim your wick to quarter inch before each burn. Keeps the flame steady, ensures an even burn, and reduces smoke. - Avoid extinguishing your candle too early. Wax can form a memory ring if put out too soon, which may cause tunnelling.
