A beautiful calm early morning image I saw after waking during a bike packing trip around Anglesey. We had wild camped on the beach, out only company being these Lobster fishermen drawing up their baskets and the few bass fishermen that had arrived on the shore to try their luck.
I've painted this with palette knife, the only oil colour I've used is Sienna.

Full description
I viewed this scene early one morning having wild camped at Penmon point on the eastern edge of Anglesey (Ynys Mon) in beautiful North Wales. The view is across to Puffin Island, and these fishermen were out early in their small boats drawing up their baskets.
Painted with palette knife, the oil is thick impasto. The canvas wraps around the sides of the canvas, It is deep and sits proud of the wall. Size 15.5x19.5inch, 40x50 cm (and 4 cm deep).
