Our family are avid nature lovers and foragers. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by the world of mushrooms and - both the edible, the medicinal and the deadly. They are all beautiful wonders. Two years ago, I learnt to needle-felt - so fungi became a natural object for my felts (and I have done a few - from penny buns to magpie inkcaps...)

Unleash your Christmas Nostalgia feeling with this needle-felted fly agaric (red toadstool) mushroom decoration! It's on a fitted hessian cord loop, perfect for hanging on a Christmas tree or on a hook.
(Please contact me if you would prefer not to have the cord loop, as you can also mount the fly agaric, for example, on a wood slice.) The mushroom may slightly vary in size (8-9 cm with the root), and has been lovingly needle-felted using high-quality Maori core wool bats.
It would make a lovely gift for friends and family, or foraging enthusiasts.
While I try to keep my tools and materials free from pet hairs as much as I can, please note that I work in a house with a cat.
Please note that the wreath is not suitable for children under 12 years of age, and it is not a toy.
