Fairy Antoinette was inspired by a visit to the Marie Antoinette Style exhibition at the V&A. it was quite mind blowing to see some pieces of her actual textiles, and contemporary embroidery and costume. It isn't really surprising that I had to make something (or someone)

Fairy Antoinette is a Queen for your festive tree! Created from mostly reused fabric, with some rather delicious silver star felt for her suitably large hair-do and wings, she has decent bloomers to protect her delicate parts from pine needles, and from all those people who just have to check a doll has her knickers!
She is hand and machine stitched, and measures 26cm from her little pink shoe tips to the top of her very pointy hair. The hem of her wide skirt is 14cm wide.
Just keep her away from cake...
