Walking around Llyn Brenig, here in North Wales we had just setup camp in a nearby wild camping spot. We were bike packing and were heading towards the Visitor Center hoping to find it still open for a meal. I saw the boat club house, and liked the setting of the boats, the mountains, dramatic sky and the wind turbines in the distance.

Walking around Llyn Brenig, here in North Wales. I saw the boat club house, and liked the setting of the boats, the mountains, dramatic sky and the wind turbines in the distance. Working on wood panel, I have used thick impasto oil applied with palette knife to add depth to the mountains and the boats in the foreground. I've focused on the range of colours I could see, including a pink/red backdrop to the clouds.
