I wanted to combine three textile crafts in one unique item - Dorset buttons, Yorkshire buttons and Kumihimo braiding.

Full description
I used two different textile crafts to make this unique, one of a kind, statement necklace. There is one large Dorset button and three smaller ones, all made using cotton threads in brown, cream and green. The large central button includes fawn wooden beads and I have also added four wooden, grained beads to link three of the buttons.
I made the braid for the necklace using the Japanese Kumihimo braiding technique, using the same brown, cream and green cotton threads.
I have used nickel-free silver plated links and an extendable lobster clasp.
Size - the inner circumference of the necklace can be adjusted from 15" (38.1cm) to 16" (40.64)cm and the diameter of the large central button is 3.5cm
