"Elephant" is an Original Mini Lino Cut Print Mounted (NOT a digitally reproduced print).
This artwork is part of a small series of 6 black linocuts inspired by nature and animals.They have been created in a minimalist style reminding of mid century art.
After drawing each piece, I carefully hand carve the lino plate. I mix all my colours by hand from professional water based printing inks and the lino blocks are then inked and put it into my printing press. Lastly I print them individually straight onto Somerset 300gms Soft White printing paper.
Due to the printing process and nature of lino printing there will be slight variation of marks from print to print which is what will make your print unique. Each print will be individually hand signed and titled on the front in pencil by me, the artist. The work will be mounted in an acid free professional museum quality mount measuring 8" x 8" inches.The image size is 3.5" x 3.5" inches.
Each Lino cut will make a lovely gift, as it is nicely presented mounted and in a cellophane sleeve! The back of the mount will have a small write up about the artist!
