Full description
I love having rowan trees in a my garden, especially of course in autumn when the berries ripen. At my previous house the tree attracted so many breeds of bird, all fighting over berry rights - mistle thrushes, blackbirds, redwings and starlings all stood off against each other. A couple of times the tree was descended upon by flocks of beautiful migrating waxwings. Always there is a little robin, defiantly standing up to all the other birds and managing to get a fair share of the crop. Sadly the tree where I live now does not attract such a variety of birds - too many neighbourhood cats, but we have had a pair of blackbirds, a thrush and one mightily feisty robin. This is our robin :)
A limited edition of 25, this watercolour painting was originally created as a Christmas card design. People wanted copies of the image as a framable print and so here we are.
Paper size: 210 x 210mm, image size is: 155 x 145 mm approx (6.25" x 5.75" approx). The protective sleeve it is supplied in is fully compostable.
