This original painting was inspired by a tree that I saw when walking my dog up the local cycle track one windy morning, as the slowly yellowing leaves danced on the breeze under a pale autumn sky. I wanted to preserve the wonderful feeling of watching this charming performance in a painting. I added a buzzard and a squirrel to the scene, making the painting feel lived in. As you move around the painting, you may notice a subtle bronze shine as it catches the light, adding to the magical atmosphere.
