Although they're still freshwater pearls and originate from China, the ones used in these earrings are coloured to resemble natural Tahitian peacock pearls.

Full description
I've chosen two peacock coloured pearls with a predominantly purple metallic sheen for these earrings. As well as its well known association with royalty and luxury (similar to pearls), the colour purple is also linked to creativity, inspiration and non-conformity.
As with all irregular pearls, each one is ever so slightly different and these shiny beauties are approximately 5mm each, placed on sterling silver headpins with delicate trace chain lengths and finished with sterling silver hooks.
