Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.
The original Robin was made back in 2024, originally inspired by the robin family that visit our garden regularly, especially when we are gardening. Late last year I lost an amazing friend, and the day I heard the news, a robin landed in our garden and as the saying goes, 2When loved ones are near, robins appear" and as she was a true advocate for supporting wildlife, I new I had to reproduce this design into a card, and then the bookmarks followed too. Printed ‘Robin’ printed laminated bookmark by Michelle Corbin
An original fabric applique and free machine embroidered design, embellished with a mix of scrap fabrics, and was made into a lantern. The original was photographed to a high quality and printed onto 150 gsm cardstock and laminated inhouse, with a matching satin ribbon attached.
