It's a wrap folks! I'm now on my holidays. Many many thanks to everyone who has supported my daft little enterprise this year. Have a brilliant Christmas and I look forward to bashing more spoons for you in 2026.
HOLIDAY DATES: Please note the shop will now be CLOSED until Fri 2 Jan inclusive. I may be away from my computer so please be patient if it takes me longer than usual to answer messages. If you've ordered recently, rest assured that all packages have been despatched by first class post.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
A token gift you will never use. These words are stamped by hand on a vintage alloy caddy spoon approx. 15cm long with a 'fiddle pattern' handle. Perfect joke gift for the people who have everything, whether you're giving it for Christmas or birthday or wedding or anniversary or to say thankyou to your host or as a contribution to the office secret santa...
Don't get too excited about the words 'Bengal Silver' on the back by the way, this was just a trade name for this particular nickel silver alloy back in the days before Advertising Standards were a thing. It won't polish up to a bright silver colour no matter how hard you try.
This delightful spoon is in the bargain bin collection in my shop, along with many another less-than-perfect spoon that would none the less make a quirky, different and (possibly) much appreciated gift. I always combine the postage, just in case that's an incentive to buy several bargain spoons all at once.
