I found some of these randomly one day on a craft supply site and eventually tracked down the maker in India. We now deal directly with one another and I make these by hand, in my studio with only natural dyes and non-toxic practices.

Full description
Having already lived a full life as a sari, these ribbons are washed, carefully torn into strips and bound into bundles. When I get my mitts on them I add some pretty natural colour.
They make a perfect eco-friendly embellishment for grift wrap, ornament ties, crochet projects an any number of crafty things!
These ribbons have a raw unfinished edge and are about 2.5cm (1") wide but this does vary a bit, due to the handmade nature of them. They also have seams and knots every few metres, which is how the saris are joined to make a longer length ribbon
These are 10 metre bundles but I also have them available in wholesale bundles about 55 metres long. Please feel free to to reach out for more info on those!
