The wood is hand turned by me in my own workshop and this is the actual pen you will receive. Perfect for Christmas, birthdays or collectors and comes with an impressive embossed and hologram sealed certificate of authenticity as shown in the product images.
Ebbets Field was a Major League Baseball stadium in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York. It is known mainly as the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team of the National League, from 1913 to 1957, but was also home to three National Football League teams in the 1920s. Ebbets Field was demolished in 1960 and replaced by apartment buildings.
Interestingly the wood has been painted over, in blue, many times of over the years and some has become trapped deep down in the surface cracks (see images). Some of this paint has survived the wood turning process used to make this pen (see pictures), and several thin lines of original weathered paint can be seen running the length of the pen. These are now sealed in with a tough lacquer coating. This makes this twist action ballpoint pen even more unique ,and special, as an artefact. The fittings are in premium quality Chrome and Gunmetal titanium. This is an expensive and exclusive pen due to its historic value hence I wanted to use the highest quality pen parts in its construction.
