Full description
Unique Hexagonal ancient bog oak rollerball pen, you wont find this combination of metal pen fittings and wood for sale elsewhere.
Handmade by the shop owner in his home workshop. Elevate your writing experience with a unique blend of modern design and timeless tradition. This handcrafted hexagonal fountain pen is a true statement piece, perfect for anyone who appreciates quality and history. The fittings choose are in chrome so as to contrast starkly with the black coloured wooden body. I have two of these currently available and they are identical due to the nature of the wood (one pictured). Black ink refill installed.
Immerse yourself in history with this exquisite, handcrafted pen. This unique writing instrument is turned on a lathe from a rare piece of bog oak, a wood preserved in the anaerobic conditions of a peat bog for approximately 3500 years. To put its age into perspective, this wood was a living tree when:
The earliest stages of Stonehenge were being constructed in England.
The city of Uruk in Mesopotamia, often considered the world's first city, was flourishing.
This oak tree was a living, breathing organism during the Bronze Age.
Each pen tells a story of an ancient tree, transformed by time and nature into a material with a deep, rich color and a beautiful grain. A unique and genuinely hand turned wooden rollerball pen includes a felt protective carry pouch.
