Full description

This unique and historic ballpoint pen made from reclaimed certified wood from seats installed at Fenway Park, the oldest Major League Baseball Park still actively in use. Hand turned by me in my own workshop. The wood was obtained from seats installed in 1934 and removed in 2010, the wood from this seat has seen its share of historic events at this ball park. Perfect for Christmas, birthdays or collectors and comes with an impressive embossed and hologram sealed certificate of authenticity as shown in the product images.

The wood used to make this pen is shown in the pictures, and is now over 90 years old.

Interestingly the wood has been painted over, in blue, many times of over those years and has become trapped deep down in the surface cracks. Some of this paint has survived the wood turning process used to make this pen, and several thin lines of original weathered paint can be seen running the length of the pen. These are now sealed in with a tough lacquer coating. This makes this pen even more unique ,and special, as an artefact from this special baseball park.

The wood is obtained from a reputable dealer in the USA and a certificate of authenticity, provided by the supplier, will be included with the pen. The metal pen parts are obtained from a UK provider, Beaufort ink, renowned worldwide for supplying premium pen parts for woodturners. The ballpoint pen is a twist action finial mechanism and can be supplied with black or blue ink.
