The Cailleach or the Winter Crone/Hag, is from Celtic mythology and is the bringer of Winter. She is a shape-shifter and is often seen as one-eyed, blue skinned and sometimes as a black bird. She is associated with the land and the waning year.

Handmade, one of a kind earthenware ceramic figure of the Celtic Winter Crone, the Cailleach (pronounced Kaw-lee-ak). The Crone is glazed with both matt and glossy glazes and she carries her faithful crow upon her hat. Each Crone is made by hand with no moulds so variations will occur.
AM AN EARTHENWARE CREATION - that means that although I am beautiful and strong, I should ideally spend my life indoors. I can be put outside during warmer, dry weather but please take me back inside when it gets wet and cold so that the frost and damp don't cause me to crack.
The Crone measures approx. 14cm tall.
