Full description
The Shambles York is an Original Lino Cut Print (NOT a digitally reproduced print).
After drawing each piece, I carefully hand carve the lino plate. I mix all my colours by hand from professional water based printing inks and the lino blocks are then inked and put it into my printing press. Lastly I print them individually straight onto high quality printing paper. If there is more than one colour involved in a design this process is then repeated.
Due to the printing process and nature of lino printing there will be slight variation of marks from print to print which is what will make your print unique. Finally each print will be individually hand signed on the front in pencil by me, the artist.
The paper size measure approx 30 x 21cm. Image size approx 21 x 15cm.
Margins give you room to mount / mat and frame this to your liking.
Sold unframed and unmounted.
Each Lino cut will make a lovely gift, as it is nicely presented on a stiff board and in a bio degradable cellophane sleeve! The back of the board will have a write up about the artist!
The linocut will be sent to you in protected packaging to ensure safe delivery. Thank you for looking!
