Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.
I have a love for all things whimsical, magical and fairies. So a homely sweet little cottage house seemed appropriate

Full description
Each Fairy Cottage is handcrafted with love, thread and off cuts of Tweed and cotton fabric, sitting on a wool/mix felt background, with embroidered detail.
This stitching details are created by freehand machine embroidery incorporating fabric applique.
Please note, that as they are handmade and made to order, they may differ slightly from the photo, but this will give each one a unique and whimsical character.
Approximately 12 cm x 9.5 cm (with twine loop 18.5 cm)
