Full description
These hand crafted wooden darning discs are ideal for visible mending on clothes and are offered with FREE UK shipping. Often used as an alternative to a darning mushroom tool, they're the perfect way to repair holes in your socks, jumpers, sweaters and jeans and don't take up much room in your sewing bag!
Made from sustainably grown Beech wood, they feature a gently domed top and a groove around the edge to use with an elastic band (not included). This enables the fabric to be held taut whilst you're mending!
These really are the ideal addition to your sewing box and, as my discs are sent wrapped, would also make the perfect gift
I make these in two sizes, standard and large. The standard discs measure approximately 66mm (2 58") across, the large approximately 86mm (3 38"). They've all been sanded smooth but left without a wax finish (as this aids grip on the fabric).
Please note, I choose these at random so yours will vary slightly from the ones shown due to natural differences in the wood
