MAKERS DETAILS -
Extensively researched this polymer clay model is built up around a shaped wooden box with removable lid forming the basis of the roof.
The purpose built house was not unique to Scotland, but this very rudimentary design has become famous as " The Blackhouse"
The diorama surrounded hints at the number of ways the inhabitants eked out a living.
