Full description
This hanging star Christmas decoration is created from a needle felted and embroidered piece on a metal framework embellished with crystal, glass and mother of pearl beads and strung on a waxed thread.
Designed to be viewed from all angles I have created this piece by needle felting wool fibre on to a star shaped metal framework. I then use yarn, embroidery and beads to add colour, pattern and detail to the felted shape and metal framework.
I use fibre, spun yarn, silk embroidery thread and wool felt in my pieces. The fibre and spun yarns are mainly wool but some contain elements of silk and, occasionally, a small proportion of manmade fibres.
Motif approx. 12 cm.
Hanging length approx. 30 cm.
