Full description
Needle felt Sheepdog and Lamb. A lamb by a dry stone wall out in the Yorkshire countryside. A young sheepdog is trying to encourage it away from the wall. A bit of Yorkshire whimsy made from wool fibres.
A lovely gift for someone who likes to be out in the countryside. Sheep in the fields are such a common sight and if a sheepdog is spotted, well it makes my day..
I've made this wool sculpture using the needle felt method. The dog has internal wires for stability. The wall is wool fibres needle felted over a piece of a felting mat and has hand embroidered flowers.. I've attached the wall, dog and sheep the base with large sewing stitches. The base is needlefelted using wool fibres.
The sculpture measures about 10 cm tall, 15 cm square.
I used Corriedale and Shetland sheep wool fibres. The sheep is made using Shetland wool fibre,
