All my jewellery listed here is sterling silver except for the silver plated upcycled cutlery collection. There will be elements of sterling silver in every design (except keyrings and bookmarks), some will be completely so, others may have combinations of copper, brass, bronze, glass, enamel, pewter, resin, upcycled biscuit tins, cutlery and pre-decimal coins and/or gemstones as well. Many of the designs are one-of-a-kind.

Full description

Two 1971 bronze halfpenny pieces made into earrings. Each have a different bird design pierced into them with a fine-bladed jewellers saw. 16mm across. Sterling silver ear wires.

Despatched in a presentation box via the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service in the UK. Care guide included.

Handcrafted in Lancashire

FYI - Bronze is 95% copper, 4% tin and 1% zinc; it represents the 8th wedding anniversary in the traditional calendar and the 19th in the modern version.

This coin was introduced in February 1971 at the time decimalisation. Queen Elizabeth II in one side, St.Edward's crown on the other. It fell out of favour and was demonetised in December 1984, therefore, as it is no longer in circulation it is now legal to deface the monarch's head, otherwise it would not be.

Designed by Silvana Briers in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire
