I made her to illustrate the Molly Cloth Doll pattern as I was creating it. I wanted to show how even the simplest face drawing techniques can be really effective in creating lovely dolls.

Full description
I made her as an example of how my MOLLY pattern (for sale in a separate listing) will make up. This is the simplest approach to creating faces I can think of: hand drawn by me in a mix of graphite and Prismacolour pencils on white Gesso. Her arms are button jointed, her hair is made from twisted strands of dusky blue Mohair and she wears a Liberty Print lawn cotton dress. She has a black netting petticoat to pouff out the dress and little knee length bloomers. She was entirely handmade by me as an Adult Collectable doll.
I've been making cloth/clay dolls and creatures for more than 25 years. They are intended as Adult Collectibles and are not suitable for children or play due to wore/buttons and small parts which could pose a choking risk. They do make excellent shelf/chair sitters for older sensible, children.
