Full description
This decorative glass panel of trees silhouetted against the sky has been painted using specialist glass enamels. The background is applied first using shades of green, and the panel kiln-fired to 'set' the enamel. The foreground is then hand-painted, the trees applied using a silk screen and the panel fired for a second time. Finally, the panel is placed on a mould and fired again at a temperature which softens the glass and 'drapes' it over the mould to enable it to stand on its own base.
The panel is semi-transparent, giving a lovely ethereal look, and therefore looks best displayed in front of a white or light coloured wall. It would make a lovely gift. The panel measures 8 x 12cm, and the base measures approximately 8 x 6cm.
