Full description
This small watercolour painting was originally produced in a sketch book. The prints proved so popular that I decided to do the little painting justice and have it professionally framed. The original sketch book page edge has been left on the finished work as I think it adds a little more honest character to the paper. I love oriental poppies, they grew in my mum's garden and I have finally managed to introduce them into my small garden.
Painted on 100% Khadi cotton rag paper using Schmincke Horadam watercolours it has been shadow mounted on 'sea mist' (a pale putty colour) acid-free mount board and framed in a beautifully simple solid oak frame. It really is a very pretty little piece.

Paper - 155 x 120 mm / 6" x 4.75" approx.
Frame - 215 x 195 mm / 8.5" x 7.75" approx
