Sunflowers Still Life
The composition presents a vivid still life, merging elements of an interior tabletop arrangement with the expansiveness of an outdoor setting. At its centre, three sunflowers dominate the scene, their golden petals radiating with warmth against the cool blue of the sky. I have used strong complementary contrasts—yellow against blue, red against green—to heighten the vibrancy and energy of the image.
The glass jug, rendered with attention to light and transparency, refracts and distorts the sunflower stems, creating a play of abstraction within the realism.
The red and white checkered tablecloth anchors the foreground with bold geometry. Its rigidity is softened by scattered painted sunflowers, adding rhythm and pattern, This juxtaposition of organic and geometric forms—the flowing petals and leaves against the grid of the cloth—creates visual tension and harmony.
Painted with professional-quality oil paints, the surface has been finished with a light matte varnish. The sides of the canvas are painted white, allowing the piece to be displayed unframed. Picture hanging fittings are in place for immediate display.

The painting is signed and dated on the front lower right corner and reverse. A signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
