I love the colours of the sea, especially with the reflection of moonlight and am often drawn to blues and greens when choosing clothes. I am delighted with how the dye colours seem to reflect the colours of a warm tropical sea.

The yarn is made from pure silk noil and has been hand dyed with steam fix silk dyes.

NB: DISCLAIMER
No matter what your skill level please, Please, PLEASE make a test square. Using pure Silk Yarn is different to using Wool Yarn. Unlike wool, silk has no elasticity so you need to adjust to knitcrochet a lot looser than you may be used to.
Uses:
Also known as Silk Noil, Bourette Silk is obtained from the outer and inner surfaces of the cocoon which is not suitable for reeling into fine fibre. It has a rustic, cotton like texture with little or no sheen to the fibres. Bourette Silk produces a strong yarn with noils, giving it a tweedy appearance. Bourette Silk Yarn is an extremely durable yarn and is ideal for Knitting, Crochet, Weaving, Tapestry Weaving, Embellishment, Creative Textile Work. This yarn may not have the high lustre of other silks but is still beautiful when natural or dyed.
These skeins of Bourette Silk Yarn have been commercially spun and hand dyed in small batches, by me, in my studio. No two skeins are exactly alike even if from the same dye batch. Please take this into consideration when planning a project.
