INTERNATIONAL POST - I'm in the process of updating postage for the US and have temporarily removed it from my listings whilst I recalculate the prices to include the new taxes and handling fees which have to be paid prior to my items entering the US. A wool felt hand embroidered heart, ornamental wall decor
A little 5" x 5" wool felt heart in a dark apricot peach with hand embroidery in peachy pink, burgundy, greens and peaches.
I actually stitched the embroidery a few years ago, filed it in a document wallet to keep it flat until I needed it and completely forgot about it. When I discovered it I wasn't sure what I wanted to make with it but as I was in the process of embroidering hearts I decided I would make a simpler stitched version.
It didn't suit a lace border like my silk noil ones so I have triple sewn it together with buttonhole and straight stitches in a peach embroidery thread to match the fabric instead .
The embroidery is in a heart shape with floral details to the top and sides.
I have added a small ring to the back should you want to display it on a wall but it also looks lovely propped on a dressing table, perhaps with some dried flowers for a nostalgic feel or leant against an old book or some jewellery.
It has been filled with polyester stuffing and a sprinkling of dried lavender for a gentle scent.
It would make a lovely keepsake gift for a friend or loved one.
