Mother of Pearl is really a sustainable by product of the oyster shell. It's many layers of nacre (pronounced nay - ker) are built up over 4 years as part of the growth of the oyster. We love to use it in our jewellery because of it's beauty! It sparkles when the light hits it and different waves of colour come out and shine.

Using the inside of the oyster shell, we cut and polish the mother of pearl pieces into teardrop shape and add to simple, yet solid, handmade sterling silver 15mm hoop with butterfly fastenings and stopper backs, so the pearl doesn't fall off.
Stamped 925 sterling silver on the post, the butterfly and the hoop. These gorgeous pearl pieces shine with all their lovely layers. The perfect gift for an ocean lover, or a pearl anniversary gift for a loved one.
Beautifully packaged ready for giving in a little pink box with care card and polishing cloth.
