The Geological Landscapes series was inspired by the geode. A rock which when broken open reveals crystals inside. I form each piece by hand then carve the texture on the outside mark by mark. Once bisque fired I add one of the glazes that I've developed that emulate the precious crystals and the glaze firing goes up to 1,260 degrees before coming out transformed.

Full description
Inspired by the Geode this piece is hand formed and shaped from porcelain. The texture is hand carved adding each mark individually with various tools. It is then bisque fired before being filled with my cobalt and diamond crackle glaze. The final glaze firing to 1,260 degrees transforms the piece into the vibrant piece you can see in the pictures.
