The ruffle effect is created by increasing the amount of stitches in each row. Simple yet effective!
I love working with cotton acrylic yarn because not only is it affordable, but it's super soft to the touch, and the stitches it creates are beautifully defined. I hope that you'll enjoy wearing these scrunchies as much as I enjoyed making them!
The lowdown:

My hair is very thick, but the elasticated bands I've used for these scrunchies are strong enough to comfortably wrap twice around my ponytail.
Machine washable: not recommended.
Suitable for children over the age of three, but adult supervision is required. Please note that these scrunchies won't withstand rough treatment.
