My inspiration for this shaving stand was to make a shaving stand that would hold both razor and brush for wet shaving. This stand is a more modular stand, which has a hint of industrial styling aided by the copper bars, that will support one or two shaving brushes, with the razor stored below. The Bubinga is a recycled wood, whereas the ash is locally sourced in the south west of england.

Full description
This shaving brush and razor stand, it will take larger handled brushes and razors. It is illustrated with a Wilkinson Hydro razor and a double edge razor with their handles being less than 19mm diameter. The cut outs in the stand give more freedom to the user for the shaving brush and razor.
Timbers used are Bubinga (red coloured wood) laminated to English Ash for the two uprights with a Bubinga and pine base and finally two copper bars to support the shaving brush. All of the stand is glued and coated in epoxy resin to stabilise the timber and protect it from water ingress, then cellulose sanding sealer, then finally microcrystalline waxed. This item is number SS16 and this is stamped on the underside with my initials and date made (2022) as well. The images show razors and shaving brush that are not included, used for illustration only.
This stand is made from organic, natural, solid wood and will distort if put near a heat source such as a radiator, it will also discolour if left in direct sunlight. The item you see here is the one you will receive and I have aimed to provide dimensions which are as accurate as possible. Please note that wood is a natural product and can be affected by its environment.
