My long-standing fascination with Japan inspired the theme of this painting. I was keen on capturing the experience of a crisp morning light shining through the delicate paper umbrellas.

The painting is framed and includes 2 layers of glass. Please do not remove the innermost layer of glass from the painting, as the paint is bound to it, and the painting will be damaged if you attempt to remove the innermost glass. The grey frame may be removed with caution.

It was originally exhibited during Oxford Art Weeks and featured in an art shop exhibition.
