I made this print after hearing the famous Sycamore Gap Tree was sprouting and had survived being so cruelly cut down. This is the tree under a healing moon and is my tribute to the power of nature to overcome.

Full description
Sycamore moon - Original handmade lino print in limited edition of 18. This is a completely hand made item - not a digital print. It is a 5 colour reduction Lino print individually hand printed on Somerset printmaking 350gsm paper with quality water based inks using an etching printing press. Each print is a completly hand made by me, the artist and is a unique piece of original art. Each print has been printed 5 times, once for each colour layer, over a number of weeks to gradually build the finished detailed image. As a result each print contains slight variations in tone and colour overlay making each an individual piece of art.
The print was inspired by the news that the beautiful Sycamore Gap tree that was cruelly felled by vandals in the autum of 2023 has this summer produced new shots and lives! The print is a tribute to the winning power of nature.

The print comes unframed and unmounted and wrapped flat in a protective packaging to keep it safe during transit.
