Full description
A smaller, lapel sized Robin Bird Pin Brooch handcrafted from needle felted wool with signature metal zipper edging. The perfect small gift for the wildlife lover in your life, as the brooch can be popped in an envelope and posted as a large letter.
Using roving wool I hand needle felt the brooch with a singular needle and edge with metal zips. I also hand stitch the eye bead in place.
The brooch feels soft, very tactile and light in weight, with firm structure and strength from the metal edging detail that gives a lovely glint in the sunshine.
Finished with a metal brooch bar back safety pin - So easy to wear with jackets, jumpers, sweater, hats, bags, A real eye catching, one-of-a-kind accessory that adds a 'pop' of colour and interest to an outfit, any time of year.
Making a thoughtful gift as Robins are not only associated with Christmas, but as a symbol of good luck, happiness, rebirth - and even as a messenger for lost, loved ones. There are tales stretching back to Norse mythology where the Robin is the protector from storms and lightning.
Carefully packaged and posted on a presentation card as shown in the photos.
Measuring approx 6cm W x 2.5cms
Please note that each Robin is made completely by hand, making it totally unique.
