The sun rising over Stonehenge on the Summer Solstice is such an iconic and precious moment in the calendar. I've never been lucky enough to be there but avidly watch the livestream every year! It seemed only right at Midsummer to offer my ceramic homage.

Handmade ceramic wall plaque featuring a cheerful Solstice sun rising over an ancient henge!
Each Sun plaque is lovingly glazed with a matt finish face and henge, and a body of glossy sun rays and grass. There are little touches of gold to add a summery glimmer! A wire hanger is on the back for wall hanging.
I AM AN EARTHENWARE CREATION - that means that although I am beautiful and strong, I should ideally spend my life indoors. I can be put outside during warmer, dry weather but please take me back inside when it gets wet and cold so that the frost and damp don't cause me to crack.
Each Solstice Sun is hand made by me and no two are ever exactly the same. Size approx. 17cm.
