Over the course of a year I collected flowers and leaves in my garden , making moulds of what I found. Now I have been working through this collection of moulds, making test pieces from non precious materials , and then working with silver metal clay to created pendants from my favourite moulds.
The metal clay material is quite an amazing thing : the silver is reclaimed from various industrial purposes and combined with a binder that makes it workable. Once it is fired we are left with a piece of silver of hall mark quality. ( This item is below the weight that requires hall marking . )
In this piece I have added a dark green tourmaline stone which gives a bit more of a focal point than just the charm alone.
Tourmaline is a birthstone for the month of October.

Simple and elegant silver pendant charm style necklace finished with silver wire and a dark green tourmaline stone. Hangs from a 20 inch silver chain.
See photo with five pence piece for scale - charm is slightly smaller in size but much more chunky and rounded.
Would be ideal to use as part of a layered collection.
The Allium charm has been made with an impression from an allium flower detail grown in my garden in the east of Scotland.
