Full description
A stained glass landscape panel, created in opaque art glass. A river of shimmering iridescent light blue meanders through green fields which stretch out to a distant hill.
The panel was constructed using traditional centuries-old leaded stained glass techniques, which have changed very little over the centuries. The lead came is cut and shaped to fit each piece of glass, then soldered in place, and the whole piece cemented to provide strength, then finally black-leaded and polished.
The panel measures 14 x 20cm approx. It looks lovely displayed on a windowsill, and because it is made from opaque glass, the colours will really pop if placed in front of a light coloured wall.
Note: The lead frame is perfectly safe to handle, as long as it is not ingested, but please wash hands after handling.
