Having knitted amazing warm jumpers with Shetland wool, I became interested in the many subtle natural colours Shetland sheep have. This little ram is light grey, a subtle multi toned grey. Shetland sheep are tough little cookies, with a reputation for self foraging I admire. So I wanted to make this ram, as an homage.

Mini needlefelted sculpture of a Shetland sheep ram. 11cms long, 9 cms high. Shetland wool pelt on a wire frame with glass eyes. Shetland wool comes in many beautiful subtle colours, this little guy is light grey.
