From fleece to nature inspired creations

First I learnt to spin wool, drawn in by the textures, colours and rhythm. Knitting and crochet soon followed as ways to use the yarn I created.
From there to rug making, discovering the natural colours of undyed sheep fleece. Then experimenting with natural dyes, then using acid dyes, mixing to get vibrant colours.
Then I discovered needle felting....What a revelation!
I make animals and wall hangings using all my wool skills.

All my work is made in Ingleton, Yorkshire, using local fleeces and mostly inspired by the landscapes around me
