Over the course of a year I collected flowers and leaves in my garden , making moulds of what I found. Now I have been working through this collection of moulds, making test pieces from non precious materials , and then working with silver metal clay to created pendants from my favourite moulds.
The metal clay material is quite an amazing thing : the silver is reclaimed from various industrial purposes and combined with a binder that makes it workable. Once it is fired we are left with a piece of silver of hall mark quality. ( This item is below the weight that requires hall marking . )
In this piece I have added a deep purple amethyst stone which gives a bit more of a focal point than just the charm alone.
Amethyst is a birthstone for the month of February.

Full description
Silver pendant with impression of blossom, a slim coin like disc , polished and burnished into a piece that is smooth and tactile. Embellished with a beautiful oval amethyst a bead and silver wire, hangs from a 22 inch silver chain. I have given the piece a patina which brings out the detail of the flower . The photograph does not show an accurate colour for the amethyst - it is more definitely a purple, as you would expect.
Would be an ideal piece to use as part of a layered collection.
Amethyst is a birthstone for February.
